time for a new update. i have 2 jobs now. 1 is in the admissions office stuffing envelopes. i got yelled at my 3rd day for putting on the little stampy things crooked. woops. the other is at the "annual fund phonathon" yay. i basically call people and beg for money. its kind of degrading at times, but if it wasnt for the annual fund i wouldnt even be at this wonder establishment. its really hard though. i tried to quit after my first shift. and i cried. it was kinda bad, but i stuck with it. umm... my roommates are starting to annoy me. one is anti-social and plays video games all day. another is a little too social and goes over to the boys-next-door's room all the time. her flirtyness is annoying. my personal roommate is just dandy, i thank god everyday that i chose her. umm.. theres a scary kid down the hall with a form of autism that yells at people and goes crazy everytime anyone makes a peep. he actually scares the shit out of me. i went to a frat party last night. it was like the... 3rd or 4th one i've been to (not counting the other ones off campus). they arent really how they are on tv...what else... the work is starting to pile up, its not as fun and free anymore. im kind of having a hard time finding a balance between hanging out with friends and doing my work. there's no flashtime to fall back on lol!!!! its really cool though, being able to do whatever you want whenever you want to. so yeah, theres my life in a nut shell.

oh yeah, and im coming home next next weekend. oct. 13-15. i was also home sept. 21-23 in case you didnt know that.

ok so heres a break down of college so far:

   -for some reason i'm a gay magnet. in only a week, i have befriended: 3 gay guys, 1 bi guy, 1 bi girl, and 1 lesbian. thats pretty awesome if you ask me...
   -my spanish teacher is at a conference in mexico, so i have an extra week (thats the great thing about college, no subs, no busy work) to find a way to buy the $123 text book....
   -the reading for my philosophy class is kinda crazy (im not a big fan of plato, play-doh yes, but plato no) but the discussions were pretty awesome....
   -i've met a ton of extra-awesome friends and me and my roommates get along swimingly
   -i hate having to walk everywhere, it really sucks when you're half asleep and have to walk across campus, across busy streets, and you almost get run over...
   -everything is so fricken expensive
   -it's wierd having a different schedule everyday and not having to wake up at a certain time. my earliest class is at 9
   -i went to my first college party even though there was one like everyday last week.
   -i have a different view of black people
   -i like having our own bathroom and air conditioning. appearently i picked the best dorm on campus
   -i hate having to take my keys with me wherever i go.

soooo... i leave on sunday. but everyone else is moving in on wednesday. heres how that happened: i got a letter in the mail saying that theres like a special pre-orientation for minoritieson tuesday, and i was all "hey, im a minority! kinda..." so they said that we could move in on monday so we could be all settled and what not. so i called to ask questions (like i always do), and the guy said "you could move in on [this] friday actually if you want to" because other people are already going to be moved in because theres this little camping excursion for fancy people. so i was like "hmmmm how about sunday?" (because it works about better and that means my sister can come with us) and he said it was no problem. thats the kind of thing i pay 40k a year for. lol.

ok so for some reason i cant find regular sized blankets. do they not make them anymore? i go to a store and i swear all the blankets are throw blankets. like all people do all day is sit around on the couch with a throw blanket wrapped around them. they would never possibly use them to sleep with. oh they have comforters, but ummm... summer+comforter=not good. i think its a conspiracy.....

i've noticed that this summer had changed me kinda. a wise person (angie) once told me that your tastes change statistically every 6 years. the other day i left a whole tomato slice on my cheeseburger. i also crumpled up a gum wrapper and threw it away (which normally wouldnt mean anything, but if you know me, you know that my OCD makes me fold it up into a little football everytime). i all of a sudden like action movies and i used to hate them. i've also started to like more techno and industrial. wierd...
